Treatments Abroad – We’ve all been there – A headache lasts for more than 2 hours, and we start googling our symptoms. We stumble across a website or forum. And then a group about headaches on Facebook. Inside this group, are thousands of people, all talking about headaches and what to do in order to get rid of them! These people are full of fabulous advice and tips! But if all 40,000 people had just gone to the doctor, they could have got a tablet from their GP that would have been not only effective, but most importantly, risk-free.
Now, this might seem harmless when it is said about a headache, but what about breast implants, or tummy tucks? It might be hard to believe, but some thousands of people a year are picking their surgeon based off a Facebook profile alone.
It is also important to realise that these Facebook groups are often censored. Bad reviews never get through, neither do critiques, payment issues, or ‘botch-jobs’ – this is potentially the most dangerous part about these groups.

We strongly advise against treatments abroad and urge anybody looking for advice to reach out to us if they have questions. Always research your surgeon and clinic on Google. We recommend looking on Google for reviews, forum posts and RealSelf. Another case has only just come out this week with an unfortunate event that took place in Turkey, so please always make sure to research prior to undertaking any surgery or even making such a decision.

Reliable and Quality clinics, will always offer a consultancy and provide previous examples of their work and you can always obviously ask your social circle and friends.

Where do you look for authentic reviews when considering surgery? We’d love to know how you get your information or whether you simply go with a recommendation?

i had my breast reduction surgery last year and just had my last appointment today! Dr ahmad has been amazing since the very start. he makes you feel listened to, he’s very trusting and makes you feel safe. i was scared going into this procedure because id wanted it for so long and i didn’t know what the outcome would be like but he has made me able to connect with myself again and im so much more happy and confident. his team that work along side him and with you throughout the process are all just amazing people and i couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thankyou very much to all of you for what you have done for me ❤️

I had a mole removal done and the process was AMAZING. You cannot see a scar, or any sign of anything done - it healed really well, and was done really professionally.
