BAM 2025 – British Aesthetic Meeting

BAM Logo

The British Aesthetic Meeting (BAM) is an esteemed international conference dedicated to aesthetic plastic surgery and medical aesthetics. Organised by CAPSCO in collaboration with UKAAPS (United Kingdom Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons), BAM stands as the largest and most influential conference of its kind in the United Kingdom. It serves as a major event in the aesthetic and reconstructive surgery calendar, offering a unique platform for practitioners, researchers, and industry leaders to converge, share insights, and advance the field through dialogue and education.

I am Tariq Ahmad, MA MBBChir FRCS FRCS(Plast), a consultant plastic surgeon and an active member of the Executive Committee for the British Aesthetic Meeting. I am also proud to serve on the Faculty for the BAM 2025 plastic and aesthetic surgery course. My involvement this year included helping to organise and facilitate the conference, contributing to its academic and logistical planning, and ensuring that it delivered a world-class experience for all attendees. In addition to my organisational role, I chaired several key sessions and delivered a lecture, contributing directly to the educational content of the meeting.

BAM 2025 was held from Monday to Wednesday, 12th to 14th May 2025, at the prestigious Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford. The university offered state-of-the-art facilities ideal for hosting such a high-calibre international event. Over the three-day period, the conference brought together hundreds of delegates from across the globe, including established specialists, up-and-coming surgeons, and representatives from leading medical aesthetics companies.

One of the defining features of BAM 2025 was the incredible diversity and expertise of the international Faculty. Specialists were invited from every corner of the world, including the United States, Australia, Brazil, various countries across Europe, the Middle East, and of course, the United Kingdom. This global representation ensured a truly comprehensive exchange of knowledge, techniques, and innovations. The Faculty included some of the most respected names in aesthetic surgery, who shared their experiences and insights through keynote lectures, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops.

The conference programme covered a wide array of topics relevant to modern aesthetic practice. Sessions included the latest advances in facial rejuvenation, body contouring, breast surgery, non-surgical interventions, and regenerative medicine. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in debates about cutting-edge techniques, complications and risk management, patient safety, ethical considerations, and future trends in aesthetic medicine. Additionally, live demonstrations and interactive breakout sessions enriched the learning experience and allowed participants to gain practical skills.

Beyond the academic sessions, BAM 2025 also offered numerous networking opportunities. Informal meet-and-greet events, faculty dinners, and sponsor exhibitions allowed delegates to connect with peers, establish collaborations, and explore the latest technologies and products in the industry. The social programme was thoughtfully curated to foster professional relationships in a relaxed and collegial environment.

As a member of the Executive Committee and Faculty, I found BAM 2025 to be not only professionally rewarding but also personally fulfilling. It was a privilege to work alongside such dedicated colleagues and to witness the passion and enthusiasm of the next generation of aesthetic surgeons. The success of this year’s meeting stands as a testament to the strength and vitality of the aesthetic surgical community in the UK and beyond.

Looking ahead, BAM will continue to evolve and grow, always striving to remain at the forefront of educational excellence and innovation in aesthetic plastic surgery. I am already looking forward to contributing to future meetings and supporting the ongoing mission of BAM: to educate, inspire, and unite aesthetic professionals worldwide.
