The SkinPen® Precision has been granted clearance and marketing authorisation by the FDA for its medical grade micro-needling device used exclusively by healthcare professionals. This is the first and only micro-needling device in the industry to receive this important designation from the FDA. This implement offers the safest method of collagen induction therapy. With it being the world’s most advanced micro-needling device, it allows 3000 times more penetration than a topical solution because it is perforating deeper and renewing the cells beneath. How Does it Work?
SkinPen® Precision delivers thousands of micro-injuries to initiate the body’s wound healing process. The body begins to break down damaged tissue and produce healthy cells. These cells repair and remodel the injured tissue, producing new organised collagen and elastin which supports the underlying tissue. This treatment is suitable for all skin types and addresses a wide range of skin concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, pigmentation, large open pores and uneven tone and texture and stretch marks.
The Observ 520 performs skin diagnostics and this will be used in your 45 minute skin consultation.
Micro-needling Treatment
The total treatment time is 90 minutes (this includes the application of a topical Anaesthetic cream 30 minutes prior treatment for optimal patient comfort).
Our carefully selected, advanced formulated serums will be used during your treatment prior the application of the micro-needles according to your skins needs. The accurate and minimally intrusive penetration of the micro-needles, allows a much higher absorption of the serums to initiate the process of collagen production, accelerating the benefits from treatment.
A Micro-needling Treatment is £350 and a series of treatment is advised to achieve optimal results. A quotation for Stretch marks will be given on the day of consultation as it is dependant on the size of the affected area.

Micro-needling treatments are not suitable for everyone and carry some risks. It is not suitable when you have active infections or inflammations such as viral/fungal/bacterial diseases, active cold sores, open lacerations, abrasions or cystic acne in the treatment area.
Risks may include change in skin pigmentation or changes in skin texture.

What will I expect to see after my micro-needling treatment and during the recovery period?
In most cases, immediately after the treatment, your skin will look and feel as if you spent hours in the sun and have a moderate sunburn. It will also feel tighter than usual, which is normal and these symptoms should subside within 24 hours after your micro-needling treatment. In rare cases, however, they can last for up to 48 hours depending on how aggressive the treatment is. Your practitioner will advise you on the best aftercare post-treatment products to help speed up the recovery process and help calm and soothe the skin.
It normal for there to be some pinpoint bleeding on the skin from having the needles inserted into the skin.
Directly after a micro-needling treatment (and even in the coming days post-procedure), your skin may feel a little different than normal and a bit rough when you touch it. There may be some swelling and bruising too. Because micro-needling makes hundreds of tiny safe yet controlled micro-injuries on the surface of the skin, it’s not uncommon to see some very small marks on the skin after the procedure has been performed. What you see on your skin is short-lived at most. As the skin heals and recovers, any marks will slowly fade away.
If you’re prone to breaking out, micro-needling can cause breakouts. This is especially the case if there are active lesions on the surface—the treatment may make them worse. While it can work wonders at improving acne scars, micro-needling can actually spread bacteria in the skin, making breakouts worse.

Multiple treatments are required to achieve optimal results once. Results vary from patient to patient. Approximately 48 to 72 hours after the treatment you’ll have an increase in collagen production. It takes at least four weeks to see noticeable results. You can expect to continue seeing results for up to 6-8 months after the last treatment as your skin continues to reproduce new collagen.
